A sacred sanctuary where ancient Vedic wisdom meets modern spiritual guidance — welcoming all seekers of peace, truth, and inner light.
Our Story
Sri Sakthi Ashram, Malaysia 1st Sakthi Peedam, has been a center for spiritual growth and community service since 1990. Rooted in the Sri Vidya tradition, the ashram promotes devotion to the Divine Mother while nurturing individuals through education, discipline, and spiritual practices. Over the years, it has produced more than 500 graduates and continues to provide shelter and care for marginalized children.
The ashram actively serves the community through initiatives such as monthly food distribution to needy families, basic health programs, youth transformation initiatives, and the revival of abandoned temples. Its holistic approach integrates spirituality, education, and social responsibility, creating a space where individuals grow with strong values, compassion, and purpose. Located in Johor, the ashram operates from a modern facility designed to support spiritual learning, community engagement, and personal development.
For over two decades, our priests, teachers, and volunteers have conducted more than 50,000 poojas, guided countless retreats, and served the surrounding community through free meals, education, and healthcare camps.

During his years at the University of Malaya, Guruji was actively involved in social and spiritual initiatives. As President of the Hindu Society of the University of Malaya, he worked closely with several prominent Hindu organizations such as Malaysia Hindu Sangam, Divine Life Society, and Sathya Sai organizations. These early experiences shaped his lifelong mission of strengthening Hindu Dharma and serving the community. Guruji also served the Malaysian Indian community through his role with MITRA (Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit) under the Prime Minister’s Department from 2018 to 2022, where he contributed as Director General. MITRA was established to address socio-economic challenges faced by the Malaysian Indian community, particularly focusing on education, skills development, entrepreneurship, and social well-being. Through this national platform, various initiatives were implemented to uplift the community, strengthen educational opportunities, and support the socio-economic development of Malaysian Indians.
Guided by divine inspiration and unwavering devotion to the Divine Mother, Guruji Sakthipriyananda established Sri Sakthi Ashram – Malaysia’s First Sakthi Peedam, a sacred spiritual sanctuary dedicated to the worship of Shakti. Within the ashram are several powerful spiritual spaces created to guide devotees in their spiritual journey, including the Sri Kamakshi Peedam, the deeply sacred Underground Maha Kali Hall, and the Pyramid Meditation Hall. These sacred spaces provide devotees with a unique environment to perform poojas, meditation, and spiritual practices while experiencing the divine blessings of Ambal. Over the years, Sri Sakthi Ashram has grown into a vibrant spiritual center where devotees gather to strengthen their connection with the Divine Mother and the path of Dharma. Guruji has taken a significant step in reviving and propagating the sacred Sri Vidya tradition through structured teachings and spiritual guidance. The present training and initiation programme marks a historic milestone, representing the first organized effort in the past 37 years to guide devotees in understanding the significance of Mahameru Pooja and Sri Vidya practices at Sri Sakthi Ashram. Through this initiative, Guruji is ensuring that this sacred tradition continues to flourish and be preserved for future generations. Guruji’s spiritual mission is to nurture devotees to become sincere bhaktas of Ambal while living a life aligned with Dharma. Through teachings, sacred rituals, and personal guidance, Guruji encourages devotees to cultivate devotion, discipline, and service to society. His message reminds devotees that true spirituality lies in balancing devotion to Ambal, reverence to Guru, and responsibility toward Dharma and Sri Sakthi Ashram.
" "The purpose of all spiritual practice is not to escape the world, but to embrace it fully — with an open heart, a clear mind, and the unshakeable knowledge that the divine dwells within every living being." " — Sri Guruji AnandamayiRequest Satsang
